Aim and Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide newly promoted employees who are taking their first steps into management.  This interactive course will assist those attending to make the mind set shift necessary to ensure they make impact at this new level.  It will look in detail at the importance of the first 90 days in this role.  Finally, it will bring those attending through the specific skills needed to succeed in their new role.

Setting Team Objectives

Session 4
The Development Stages of Your Team to Add Value to Performance

  • Managers are taken through team development cycle to look at how team develop and mature
  • Managers review to see if their team is in the forming, storming, norming and performing stage
  • Each manager will assess the maturity level of the members of their own team and consider what style they have been using and modify where necessary
